The cashier at one of your favorite eating establishments accidentally neglects to charge you for a side item. There is effectively no chance that this will get noticed. Do you point out the mistake?

DST always does a number on me. Every year. I’m already not a morning person, so robbing me of an hour in the morning is just digging the knife in further and pouring salt on the wound. I got “the talk” this morning about how I need to work harder to get in earlier, as people are beginning to notice that I’m getting in significantly later than everyone else. It’s the same talk I get every year. I’d love to have the “all you people need to stay here as late as I do” talk with the “people”, but honestly, I don’t want them here at night.

It turns out that I am one of two people in my office that knows what “Sisyphean” means. Am I a dork, or just well-read?

Did you know what Sisyphean meant before this blog post?

Can you distinguish between a Sisyphean task and a Herculean task?

Are people who use Sisyphean in conversation complete dorks?
