My curmudgeonly moment for the day

Can someone explain to me how/why a 19 year-old in college needs a BlackBerry? Sitting in class yesterday morning, I saw that roughly half of the kids had either a BlackBerry or a Treo. I’d hoped that maybe they were using them to take lecture notes or something, but no.

I’m getting old and crotchety.
