Today was a good day. You need to remember today.
You ran 12 miles on Saturday, and it was rough, but you went out and ran another 5½ miles today—just 2 days later. Last year when you ran that kind of distance, it knocked you out for a week and it hurt just to walk! And yet today, you ran one of the fastest 5½ miles you’ve ever run, including a mile at a 9:48 pace. Oh, and it doesn’t hurt in the slightest.
You really have made progress.
Oh, and the other good part about today? Well, you can’t tell your blog buddies about it yet. But maybe soon. Suffice it to say: good day.
